Brady Tkachuk is just simply wired a little differently than the rest of us. He’s the sort of guy that seems to genuinely enjoy getting his teeth knocked out, and he’s never going to back down from a little rustling and tussling.

On Saturday, Tkachuk proved that a little further by fighting Montreal Canadiens’ hulking captain Shea Weber.

The veteran NHL defenceman matches Tkachuk inch-for-inch and pound-for-pound, making for a very entertaining Tale of the Tape. The two traded a few heavy shots before going tumbling into the back of the net in a bout that, while brief, definitely had fans on the edge of their seats.

After the game, Tkachuk had this to say about the incident.

Right. It was “fun,” says Tkachuk. Hopefully one day we can all have the “fun” experience of fighting Shea Weber.

Before this answer, Tkachuk also mentioned that he thinks both players had fun. We’ll have to follow-up with Weber on that one, but for now we have to wonder: will the two be able to resist the enjoyment of punching each other in the face when they next play on April 17th?
