It’s a battle of the Tkachuk brothers in Calgary on Thursday night as Matthew Tkachuk and the Flames hosted Brady Tkachuk and the Senators, but it was the visiting brother who came through for a young fan during the pre-game skate.
As the teams took the ice for their pre-game skate Brady Tkachuk noticed a young Senators fan taking it all in from the first row. However, he wasn’t just there to watch his favourite player and team get ready for action, he was there to challenge the younger Tkachuk to a floss-off and the Senators winger was all game.
It’s not the first time we’ve seen a professional hockey player reward a young fan with a puck during warm-ups, but it is the first time we’ve seen a player take part in a dance-off with a fan during the pre-game skate. It really doesn’t get much better than that.
It’s a moment both Brady Tkachuk and the young fan will remember forever.
