Apparently Brad Marchand has been kept out of the loop from some pretty noteworthy news within the Bruins organization.

The B's deemed nine players unfit to practice just one week into camp and were forced to sideline co-Rocket Richard Trophy winner David Pastrnak, along with Ondrej Kase last Thursday after both players appeared to be healthy on the Wednesday. It turns out that Pasta is under quarantine after coming in contact with an individual who tested positive but according to his agent, the 24-year-old received a test of his own afterward that came back negative.

It turns out that Brad Marchand wasn't up to speed with the events surrounding Pasta and actually thought he was missing practices due to a hangover.

All jokes aside, Marchand acknowledged that these are "unfortunate times," and that the league is in a new reality. He's not looking too much into the Pastrnak situation, however, and isn't concerned about losing any chemistry with his line-mate.

The following is an excerpt from BostonHockeyNow.com:

“It’s kind of news to me about Pasta. I thought he was just on a two-day hangover,” Marchand quipped. “Pasta is going to be back for the playoffs, I’m not really looking too much into it. It doesn’t take long for chemistry to bounce back with us. Even when I’m going down [the ice] with Bjorky now and Bergy, we’re kind of looking [to pass] into the areas where Pasta normally sets up.”

Boston has already punched their ticket into the postseason, so their star forward will have plenty of time to do what he needs to do before NHL action picks back up. The Bruins will play their first game against the Philadelphia Flyers on August 2nd.
