The Boston Bruins and the Toronto Maple Leafs have established a fairly bitter rivalry. The two original six teams have clashed in recent years, with the Leafs famously blowing a 4-1 lead in Game 7 of the 2013 playoffs to the Bruins and solidifying one of the marquee rivalries of the league. Now the two are lined up as a potential first round matchup, and while there is still lots of season to go you can bet the rivalry isn’t about to stop growing.

Within that rivalry comes an interesting relationship within itself. That would be the strange rivalry between agitators Brad Marchand of the B's and Leo Komarov of the Buds.

While some of this just seems like classic hockey banter, their relationship was taken to a whole other level when Marchand decided to give Uncle Leo a little smack on the cheek. And we’re not talking about with his fists.

It’s pretty bizarre for one player to kiss another player in the heat of the game, but Marchand finds all sorts of ways to get under the skin of his opponents. With Marchand and the Bruins back to play the Leafs for the first time since the incident, Marchand offered a little furth explanation as to what provoked his romanticism.

It will be interesting to see what happens between the two… er… not really sure what to call them at this point. Mitch Marner offered up a little of his own insight on the situation.
