The NHL has had pests for a long time, but no one is quite like Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand. There’s something special about him when it comes to the world of hockey pests.
One of the most frustrating factors about Marchand’s game for opposing players is that he’s blossomed into an extremely gifted forward. Not only will he score, he’ll get right under your skin and fester there for 60 full minutes.
While most people try to avoid being hated by other human beings, Marchand embraces the role. Just about everything he says has some kind of pest agenda, but his latest quote may take the cake on “Brad Marchand-ness”.
The lick is referring to Marchand’s post-season antics that saw him face some heat after delivering kisses and licks to Toronto Maple Leafs forward Leo Komarov and Tampa Bay Lightning forward Ryan Callahan.
It’s understandable that lots of hockey fans despise Marchand. I mean, he licks people. Saying that, there is no denying that he is one of the most entertaining figures in the game.
