The hockey world awaits the long-anticipated resolution to the William Nylander hold out. Luckily for all those interested, there is a deadline, and it is approaching fast.
By 5pm ET on Saturday, we will have a clearer picture of the immediate future of Nylander. This is exciting for Leafs fans (and fans of teams hoping to acquire him), but TSN insider Bob McKenzie explains that those fans will likely have to go the distance with this situation, as Nylander likely will not make a decision until the last moment.
In the meantime, we can update where the situation stands. In the eyes of McKenzie, it doesn’t look as though Nylander will be joining anyone new.
There aren’t many in the industry that know more about the happenings in the hockey world than Bob, but that certainly is far from concrete. You never know if teams are just holding out and waiting to see if they can get Nylander cheap before dropping an offer the Buds can’t resist.
One thing is for sure, in 24 hours this whole thing will be over.
