Going to a sporting event can be a costly night, especially if you’re going to a game in a major city like Toronto.
However, times are starting to change in professional sports as teams are starting to introduce more affordable menus for their fans to choose from and the Toronto Blue Jays are one of the latest teams to follow that trend.
This season, fans attending Blue Jays home games will have a new $5 menu to choose from known as “Dugout Deals”, which includes just about every single ballpark classic from beer to hot dogs to popcorn. There is a bit of a catch, though, as there will only be one concession stand on each level that will sell the cheaper items, and the beers will be 355-millilitre cans compared to the 473-millilitre tall boys that cost around $12.
That’s not the only fan-friendly promotion the team will hold this season as there will be $1 hot dogs on the first Tuesday home game of each month, and they’ll available at all concession stands throughout the stadium unlike the $5 menu items.
