The Toronto Blue Jays season seems to have been overshadowed by what’s happening on their Double-A affiliates team.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has been absolutely dominating for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats and is being praised by MLB scouts left and right. Earlier today one scout went as far as to say he thinks he’ll be better than Bryce Harper. Of course none of that means anything until you see them perform on the big stage and Blue Jays fans are starting to think that might happen sooner rather than later.
Vladdy Jr. posted an image on his Instagram on Monday afternoon and it has sent the fan base into a frenzy. He tagged that he was in JFK Airport in New York and the Blue Jays play in New York against the Mets tomorrow.
Unfortunately, there was one part of the equation that they missed. This photo was taken in December.
While there was a momentary wave of excitement that took over Blue Jays Twitter, just as quickly it cooled down. That’s because as we stated above, fans discovered that the pictures were actually from December. If you scroll through the Instagram post below, you’ll see the photo from the initial post.
He has also since deleted the location tag from his latest photo and then deleted the photo itself.
