The Toronto Blue Jays have landed their man.

Former Houston Astros slugger George Springer reportedly agreed to a massive, 6-year/$150 million deal with the Blue Jays on Tuesday night after multiple reports came out that the Blue Jays were the frontrunner to land the 2017 World Series MVP.

Springer was one of the top free agents on the market so Blue Jays fans are pretty excited about the late night deal, even if it’s a former Astros player they’ve got joining their roster.

The New York Mets were also in the running to land Springer, but the Jays were willing to pay the price to land their guy and that’s exactly what happened. Of course, Springer was a big part of the Houston Astros’ success over the past few years, so Astros fans (and players) are sad to see him go.

In his seven years with the Astros, Springer hit .270 with 174 home runs and 458 RBI, and also stole 48 bases in his 795 games as an Astro.
