It’s tough to ever question any take from Bill Belichick, but his latest one is creating some noise in the football world.
The Patriots are set to host the Seahawks this weekend and Belichick made sure some high praise for Seattle’s quarterback. Like, some really, really high praise. According to the future Hall of Fame play-caller, Wilson is the best player in the NFL, and has been underrated by the media. Not just quarterback, all players…
Yeah… what about Patrick Mahomes? Or reigning MVP Lamar Jackson? Fans had a thing or two to say about this, but agreeing and disagreeing with the take.
But what about Bortles?
Wilson has been ridiculous basically throughout his entire career, averaging a ridiculous 101.6 rating and 64.7 completion percentage to date. Just last week he completed 88.6% of his passes for 322 yards and four touchdowns in the Hawks’ 38-25 win over the Falcons.
If he keeps this up, Russ could very well get his first MVP award. Or at least a vote.
