The Bianca Andreescu tour continues! After becoming the first ever Canadian to claim a Grand Slam singles title with her US Open win, Andreescu has been making the rounds around the country, and on Saturday, she was in Montreal for some CFL action.

Yes, she’s a Mississauga native, but it doesn’t seem like her rooting interests are tied to the Argos or the Ticats. Andreescu was playing to the home crowd and repping the Als in their game against Winnipeg.

Just like anywhere else in Canada, there were no shortage of Bianca supporters in Montreal when she was on her historic run at the US Open, and it’s nice to see that she’s showing some love back across the entire country.

By the way, the Alouettes completed a 20-point comeback in the closing seconds of the game. Some Bianca magic of their own? With Andreescu in the crowd, let’s not count it out! Loyal to the soil, she stuck around for the finish as well.

Of course, Andreescu already got the red carpet treatment when she returned home to Mississauga. The city threw a public rally in her honour, and even unveiled a street to be named after her.
