With a 6 percent chance of landing the first overall pick, the New Orleans Pelicans won the NBA Draft Lottery, landing the chance to select Zion Williamson with the first overall pick.
It's the second time the Pelicans have won the draft in franchise history. In 2012, the club drafted superstar big-man Anthony Davis, who has since asked for a trade out of New Orleans.
The Memphis Grizzlies nabbed the second overall selection, while the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers will pick third and fourth, respectively.
The basketball world was in awe that the Pelicans were able to come away winners, as the Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Phoenix Suns all had the highest odds each with a 14 percent chance of winning the lottery.
Like the Pelicans, the Grizzlies and Lakers all moved up based off their odds going in.
Here's some of the best reaction from the sports world.
