LeBron James and the Cavs are moving on.
After trailing the Boston Celtics after five games, James climbed the Cavs back to victory with back-to-back superb performances in Games 6 and 7. LeBron was essentially a one-man wrecking machine in the former, and things weren’t much different in the latter either. After racking up 46 minutes in Game 6, LeBron did the unthinkable by playing all 48 in the deciding game.
The Cavs needed James at his best, especially with the team’s bench struggling to get much going throughout the series. Things went from bad to worse when Kevin Love was determined too injured to play. Still, LeBron proved to be too much for a Boston Celtics team that was also missing a few of its franchise players.
You can’t help but wonder at this point how much LeBron has left in the tank. ‘The King’ looked exhausted after Game 5 and won’t have much time to rest ahead of the Finals between the Golden State Warriors or Houston Rockets. It will be interesting to see how he fares as he strives for his fourth NBA Championship.
