The Ball family continues to change the game.

Monday, LaVar Ball told the Los Angeles Times that he intends to home-school his youngest son, LaMelo Ball, so that he can personally train him. Last season LaMelo played for Chino Hills, the same school that both of his older brothers, Lonzo and  LiAngelo, attended. LaMelo is currently in his junior year and has already committed to UCLA, but for the next two years he'll be taking classes at the Ball residence.

ESPN's Ramona Shelburne spoke with LaVar shortly after the story broke, allowing him to explain why he decided to pull LaMelo from Chino Hills.

Obviously, once the news broke, the basketball world just couldn't help themselves and began to imagine the kinds of lessons LaVar would be teaching LaMelo in his home school classroom.

While having LaVar deciding that LaMelo will be home schooled is a rather unorthodox move, it seems more than clear that making it to the NBA is his son's primary goal. You would have to imagine that LaMelo will get even more time to train his skills on the court now that he's being home schooled, which will provide quite an advantage over other high schoolers.
