Since Kevin Love’s announcement that he would pledge $100,000 to support arena workers at the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse throughout the NBA’s hiatus, he has been joined a number of other NBA stars as well as other athletes and organizations across the sports world.

It’s definitely an admirable thing to do, and it has caught the eye of one Barack Obama, who tweeted his support for the athletes and everyone else contributing to support the workers who aren’t able to earn their wage during this time.

Nothing but respect from Barack Obama 👏

Of course, Obama is a noted basketball fan, but since Love and a few others took the initiative to support their arena workers, their generosity is being matched by many others in other sports as well.

You can count Sergei Bobrovsky and the Florida Panthers as well as Tampa Bay Lightning owner Jeff Vinik among that group.
