A lot of athletes build strong relationships throughout their lives, whether it’s with their friends, their coaches, or their teammates. While the bonds they make through sports may be strong, they often pale in comparison to a mother/child relationship.
Even if the mother doesn’t know a thing about the sport, they are often credited as the strongest reason why an athlete succeeds. Through undying support and resilience, mother’s do what they can do for their budding star athletes.
Baker Mayfield shared a pretty awesome moment with his mom ahead of Mother’s Day. Mayfield wrote a letter to read out to his mom. Unbeknownst to the Cleveland Browns’ young quarterback, his mother Gina was waiting in the next room.

Baker is getting ready to embark on possibly the most highly-anticipated Browns season in the last couple decades, and you can bet Gina will be watching her boy sling.
