Colorado Avalanche prospect Nikolai Kovalenko proved that good things happen when you go hard to the net.
The Yaroslavl Lokomotiv forward picked up a goal in his team’s 4-1 victory over Dinamo Mn on Monday night and it was a beauty. Not only was it a fantastic individual effort, but he somehow managed to fight off two checks and both defencemen before finding the back of the net.
Russian Tank is correct. He barely even budged after both players attempted to knock him off the puck and stuck with it to bury his third of the year.
The Avalanche selected Kovalenko with the 171st pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft and he’s the son of former NHLer Andrei Kovalenko, who was drafted by the Avalanche franchise when they were still in Quebec.
