The All-Star rosters are all but decided, but a fan vote allows for the “Last Man In” for each of the four divisions. In other words, there is still a chance Colorado Avalanche forward Gabriel Landeskog will join teammates Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen at the superstar showcase.
Each team has one nominee for the final place, so Landeskog will be up against one player from each of the six other Central Division teams. Those players are Jonathan Toews (Chicago Blackhawks), Tyler Seguin (Dallas Stars), Zach Parise (Minnesota Wild), Filip Forsberg (Nashville Predators), Vladimir Tarasenko (St. Louis Blues), and Patrik Laine (Winnipeg Jets).
Of that bunch, it probably comes down to either Landeskog or Laine. The Avs are trying to tip the scales in Gabe’s favour with this epic campaign-style video attempting to get fans to vote their captain in.
What a great guy, it’s hard to not vote him in after that! It would be the right thing to do, right Gabe?
