One of the biggest holiday traditions at the National Ballet of Canada is the yearly production of “The Nutcracker”. The show runs from December 8th to December 30th, and each week they get celebrities to make guest appearances in the show in the role of the ‘Cannon Dolls’.
So far this year we’ve seen Max Kerman and Anthony Carone from Arkells and TSN’s James Duthie and Darren Dreger put their skills on display, and Wednesday night we’ll get to see Toronto Maple Leafs forwards Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner in the role.
The two young stars are used to being in the spotlight throughout the city of Toronto and the GTA, but this time they’re going to be in the spotlight doing something that isn’t exactly normal for them.
However, that’s not stopping them from them putting on a show.
We don’t expect their on-stage performance to be anywhere close to as dominant as their on-ice performances, but who knows, maybe they have secret talents the world doesn’t know about yet.
