Some things are just unimpeachable. Even on sight, the cover of TIME magazine carries with it a certain prestige.

So, it’s no small feat that, at the age of 19, French footballer Kylian Mbappé can already claim to have featured on TIME’s cover. As a part of its ‘Next Generation Leaders’ issue, Mbappé is one of many noteworthy young people being featured by the magazine.

In the wide-ranging cover story, Mbappé describes coming to his current status of fame. “I have learned that the biggest stars and the greatest players are the most humble ones, the ones who respect people the most,” he says.

Fans are likely to remember Mbappé from his memorable appearance in this summer’s FIFA World Cup, when he starred for France in its successful campaign for the World Cup. Currently, he plays for Ligue 1’s Paris Saint-Germain, scoring four goals for the club over a 13-minute span in an impressive showing earlier this week.
