One of the best things about buying sports jerseys is the ability to customize them by throwing on a random number and a random name if you so desire.
Some people chose to put their own name, while other may elect for a past superstar, and some downright just put obscure names on the back.
You might think your jersey collection is impressive, but it doesn’t have anything on Washington Wizards forward Mike Scott.
According to Bucker, who works for the Washington Post covering the Wizards, Scott has “around 55” customized jerseys that he he’ll rock over a span of a few months, and has a jersey of all 31 teams.
Instead of wearing a custom fitted suit, or a a special outfit along the lines of basketball fashion icon Russell Westrbook, Scott elects to rock one of his jerseys to every single game.
Have a look at some of the uniforms.
Only a few more letters were needed on that Sharks jersey and the six-year NBA veteran could’ve had himself a Brent Burns jersey if the numbers were 88.
While they may seem a little bit peculiar, it’s cool to see an athlete from another sport represent hockey jersey to and from his games. According to Chase Hughers of NBC Sports, Scott isn’t even a hockey fan and just likes the designs.
Considering that the new custom Adidas jerseys go for $225 to have a nameplate and number added, Scott’s collection is certainly a pricey one. But when you make $1.7 million per season, all the power to you.
