The Arizona Diamondbacks knocked their road trip dress-up out of the park with these Saturday Night Live costumes based off of characters from popular sketches on the show.
From Garth and Wayne of Wayne’s World to the Jeopardy! Challengers, Arizona covered all their bases when it came to portraying some of their favourite characters. The theme coincides with their upcoming series against the Mets as they travel to SNL’s studio home in New York.
This may just be the most impressive set of team costumes that have debuted so far but it is just the latest installment of the Diamondbacks playing dress up ahead of a road trip. Before their series against the Houston Astros, some Arizona players got out of this world by rocking homemade space helmets, while others dawned NASA space suits.
The Diamondbacks are currently sitting 1.5 games ahead of the Colorado Rockies, which places them in first in the NL West. It’s safe to say that they’re winning on and off the field.
