Live sports are BACK!

Well, almost. We don’t want to jump the gun too early and then end up having UFC 249 cancelled. After all, we’re in somewhat of a minute-by-minute situation with COVID-19 still very much an issue.

As a result of the global pandemic, the UFC is instituting very strict rules. No fans in the stands is perhaps the most obvious and dramatic, but the fighters have also been through coronavirus testing, all press and weigh-in operations have been conducted at a distance, and on Saturday Ariel Helwani also outlined the strict procedures the fight night will be following.

With Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza already testing positive for the virus, it is crucial that the UFC doesn’t cut corners with one of the biggest night’s in their history. It will certainly be a different experience, but we’re pretty happy to have something to watch tonight.
