Anze Kopitar has been one of the faces of the Los Angeles Kings for a long time. Along with Drew Doughty, Kopitar has helped to lead the Kings through thick and thin, including bringing two Stanley Cups back to L.A.

Now, he can add another piece to his trophy case. One that he likely wasn’t expecting to get…

Yup, Anze Kopitar won an Emmy.

We’re guessing you likely had the same sort of reaction as us. Something along the lines of “FOR WHAT?!”

Well, a quick Google search of the title displayed on his Emmy returns a result that’s even more comical than we could have imagined. Apparently he won it as a result of this 2018 TV Spot titled It’s L.A. It’s the Kings.

Yep, that’s an Emmy winning performance if we’ve ever seen one. No doubt. Watching again. What a piece of work. Art, even.

Maybe when his hockey career wraps up, Kopitar can stick around L.A. and become Hollywood’s next big star?
