AB was released from the New England Patriots on Friday following a number of off-field issues. It ended what originally seemed like a promising relationship with a team known for straightening out troubled wide receivers (in fact, Josh Gordon is currently suiting up for them).
While Twitter exploded with all kinds of reaction, from happy, to sad, to outraged, to surprised, one particular account brought more attention than the rest – Antonio Brown’s.
It didn’t take long for AB to break his silence, taking the high road and thanking the Pats for the opportunity.
All in all, it’s respectable (and a little surprising) that this is the route AB chose to take. On Instagram, it was a little different. Apparently he’s taking the throw-out-everything-after-the-breakup approach and ditching the one touchdown football he had with the Pats.
