The 2021 NBA Dunk Contest has now come and past, and it’s likely a pretty safe bet to say it didn’t quite live up to some of the recent editions. We weren’t necessarily expecting it to, given that no fans were in attendance and it occurred between three youngsters during the All-Star Game’s halftime show.

Saying that, eventual champion Anfernee Simons did provide one REALLY cool highlight.

After establishing a 2nd place seeding after each dunker’s first jam, Simons decided to turn up the heat in Atlanta. In preparation for his second dunk, Simons shed his Portland Trail Blazers jersey and tossed on a vintage Toronto Raptors jersey.

We’ve seen this in the past with Vince Carter, but the name Simons donned was that of Tracy McGrady!

In case you aren’t familiar with the classic 2000 Dunk Contest eventually won by teammate and cousin Vince Carter, here was the McGrady’s highlight-reel dunk Simons was paying tribute to.

How’d he do? Let us know @BarDown!
