It was a year to forget for Minnesota Timberwolves fans as the season started with drama right off the bat, which resulted in Jimmy Butler getting traded to the Philadelphia 76ers, and it ended with the T-Wolves finishing 10 games under .500 and 12 games back of a playoff spot.
While there might not have been many positives to take away from the 2018-19 campaign, there were still some positive things that came from the season.
Earlier this week, Andrew Wiggins announced that he will be donating $29,062 towards Canadian Tire Jumpstart, the Boys & Girls Club Of The Twin Cities, and the Gorgui Dieng Foundation.
The 24-year-old announced before the season started that he will be donating $22 for every point he scores during the regular season towards the various charities, and now thousands of kids will get to take part in youth sports thanks to him.
Wiggins’ 1,321 points were a career-low, but it’s also the first time in his young career that he played less than 80 games during the regular season and just the second time he failed to play all 82 games.
