Roughly a quarter of the way into the season, the Montreal Canadiens are one of the most pleasant surprises to date.
Led by off-season acquisition Max Domi, who's notched an impressive 10 goals and 12 assists in 22 games, the former London Knight like a glove in his first season in Montreal as the team's top centre to help propell the Habs to a 9-6-3 record, good for the second wild card spot in the Eastern Conference.
Coming over from the Arizona Coyotes in an off-season trade that sent Alex Galchenyuk to the other way, Domi has already surpassed his goal totals from last year where he struggled to produce with nine goals -- four of which were empty netters -- and 12 assists in a full season's worth of games.
Prior to the season, Domi took part in the NHL's 'What's in the Box' skit with Paul Bissonnette, a.k.a. BizNasty.
If you haven't heard of the hilarious series of skits by now, you're really missing out.
As someone who spent some down in the desert, you would've thought Domi might've been familiar with the texture of the reptile, even though it turned out to be fake.
