After 17 years in the NHL, Scott Hartnell has officially called it a career.

Aside from having some of the most iconic flow in hockey, Hartnell always brought the heart (pun intended) every shift he was out on the ice and was a fan-favourite in Philly, Columbus, and Nashville.

Monday, Hartnell took to social media to officially announce his retirement and in his note, he thanked everyone from his parents and family to the teams he played for and his teammates.

Hartnell also took us on a trip down memory lane with those pictures and reminded us that we'll miss his fantastic flow almost as much as we'll miss seeing him play.
