Team Canada and USA have one of the greatest rivalries in hockey.
On Friday night the two squads went head-to-head at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup in Edmonton and both sides were firing on all cylinders right from the get-go. After the Americans opened the scoring less than five minutes into the game, the Canadians came right back less than two minutes later to make it a brand new game. However, sticking with the earlier trend the Americans wasted little time retaking the lead and they did in highlight reel fashion.
17-year-old Roseau, Minnesota native Aaron Huglen picked up the loose puck at the side of the Canadian net and made it seem like he was going to attempt a routine wraparound or attempt to swing around the opposite side and send the puck out front. Instead he put the puck on his blade and sent it top shelf for a fantastic goal.
The trend continued shortly after as Canada evened the game at 2 a few minutes later.
