The 2017 NWHL All-Star Game took place at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex, the state-of-the-art practice facility of the Pittsburgh Penguins, on Sunday afternoon. This year’s All-Stars were split into two teams, Team Kessel and Team Steadman.

Amanda Kessel of the New York Riveters captained one team, while Kelley Steadman of the Buffalo Beauts captained the other team. Both sides came through for the sold out crowd, as they combined for 21 goals in an 11-10 final for Team Kessel.

Amanda certainly stepped up as team captain, as she ended up scoring three goals in her team’s victory. Her best goal of the day came when the game was all tied up at 6, that’s when she gave her team the lead by going BarDown for this beautiful goal.

That was just her first goal of the night, but it was certainly her nicest. Here are the other two goals she potted in the game.

It’s only fitting that Kessel ended up taking home the MVP with the game being held at the Penguins’ practice facility. Apparently Phil missed her go BarDown, though, as he showed up near the end of the game.
