This off-season, Alyssa Nakken made history as the first woman to secure a coaching job in the MLB.
It’s been a long time coming for a league that was founded in 1869. It’s also been a long time coming for Nakken, who secured the role back in January, but was forced to wait longer as a result of the season’s delay.
Today, Nakken finally got her shot to coach first base for the Giants’ spring training game against the Athletics, and it was completely awesome to see.
