Rob McElhenney is best known for his role as Ronald “Mac” McDonald in ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’, and he also happens to be one of the developers, executive producers, and the creator of the show.

If you’re a fan of the show, you know that McElhenney’s character has a weird obsession with former Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Chase Utley, which includes him one day having a catch with the 6-time MLB All-Star.

Well, last Friday the Phillies honoured Utley by having the 2008 World Series champion throw out the ceremonial first pitch and there was a bit of a twist to the pre-game ceremony as they called in McElhenney to be the catcher for the first pitch.

Unfortunately for the Phillies faithful, the Marlins stole the win on Mac and Chase’s big night.
