Amid protests against racism and social injustice, athletes are finding all kinds of ways to show their support for those in need, and Montreal Alouettes quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. is putting his coronavirus stimulus check towards the cause.

Adams put on the call on Twitter for a local black-owned business to support. Heโ€™s currently in the Seattle area, and says he just received his US$1,200 stimulus check from the American government.

Adams is far from the only CFL player to weigh in on the protests and put their money behind the cause.

Als running back James Wilder Jr. rallied a number of players from across the league to participate in a video message decrying systemic racism and police brutality, urging fans around the CFL to join them as well.
