One of the most hilarious and peculiar events in the world is the annual cheese rolling contest that takes place every year in Gloucester, England on a special May bank holiday.
The idea is to chase after a 8-pound wheel of cheese that rolling down the steep 200-metre long Cooper’s Hill, which always amounts to countless injuries that includes scrapes, battered bones and lots of blood.
Chris Anderson, the most successful cheese rolling champion in the history of the event won two of the three races, and was awarded a special cheese wheel for his accomplishments. The 30-year-old won his 22nd double Gloucester cheese wheel in the last 14 years, and set a new record for the most all-time.
While that’s dandy and all, the real takeaway from the event every year is the chaos and carnage from the people bailing down the hill. This compilation video put together by Urban Pictures UK puts into perspective just how crazy some of these participants really are.
