Sometimes lost in the shadows of Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn is another Dallas Stars difference maker – Alex Radulov.
The Russian right winger completes one of the most high-powered lines in the NHL, and after spending most of his hockey career in the KHL, Radulov has enjoyed ascending point totals since his 2016-17 campaign with the Montreal Canadiens.
Saying that, the Stars are going through some growing pains, and Radulov got involved in that on Thursday night when he spent the second half of the 1st period (10:20, to be exact) riding pine.
Sometimes a benching will send an unruly player even further down animosity avenue, but in Radulov’s case he acknowledged his part in the matter, and also stated that it was the right decision from the coach.
Stars fans will be happy to see that Radulov took responsibility, but they also likely aren’t thrilled that it happened in the first place. For a team with some top-end talent in basically every position, it’s confusing to see them hovering around mediocrity.
Either way, Stars fans appreciated Radulov’s statement.
