The Summer of Ovi continues, as you knew it would. Alex Ovechkin has taken the Stanley Cup to his home of Moscow, Russia, in the latest leg of his victory tour.
We can only guess that all of this celebrating is beginning to get tiring for Ovi, but even in his sleep, he won’t let go of the Cup he worked so hard to get.
(A twin bed? Look, we know NHL salaries pale in comparison to the TV-fueled albatrosses of other sports leagues, but, a twin bed?)
This is a nice little sequel to one of the better images that hit the internet after the Washington Capitals won the championship, which saw a tuckered Ovi smiling off to sleep with the Stanley Cup cuddled.
No sleep for the weary. The Summer of Ovi: Russia Tour is in full thrust, and we can only imagine that there are many, many Russians waiting their turn to celebrate with Ovi.
