Alex Ovechkin did a lot of lifting this summer. Lifting the Stanley Cup and possibly a few adult beverages.

But we digress. The Great 8 uploaded a video to his Instagram account on Monday of himself and fellow Russian Evgeny Kuznetsov lifting some objects in their Capitals' apparel.

In the video, Ovechkin, holding the camera towards himself with Kuznetsov in the background. The two then switch spots, as the video cuts to Ovi doing squat jumps with a kettle ball before doing box jumps.

Over the weekend, Kuznetsov was asked if by NHL.com's Nick Cotsonika at the NHL Player Media Tour on which team will win the Stanley Cup this coming season. Players weren’t allowed to pick their own club, but Kuznetsov didn’t really care for that stipulation, as he opted to go with the Capitals.

"I think we're going to win," he said with a smile, and then replied “nobody” when asked to give an answer.

"It's got to be the Washington Capitals. I mean, we've got our whole team back almost."

A special Stanley Cup book centred around the Caps’ cup run will be released later this fall, with the forward being written by Ovi.
