Swedish light heavyweight fighter Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson wrapped up UFC Fight Night 109 in Stockholm, Sweden, on Sunday night with a massive knockout victory over Glover Teixeira at the 1:07 mark of the fifth round.
While most fighters tend to calm down once they’ve loosened up in the octagon, Gustafsson was probably more nervous after the fight than he was before it because of what he had planned for his post-fight interview in the middle of the octagon.
After pulling off the huge victory in his hometown of Stockholm, Gustafsson walked over to his girlfriend, got down on one knee and proposed to her.
Of course, she said yes and was brought to tears by his surprise.
This has been a pretty awesome month for the 30-year-old light heavyweight. A couple of weeks ago, Gustafsson and his girlfriend fiancée, welcomed their first daughter to the world.
He followed up the birth of his daughter by pulling off a victory on a UFC card he headlined in his hometown and then capped it all off by proposing.
