Alex Bregman is having a quietly excellent year as the Astros third basemen, but apparently one thing wasn’t working for him in his last game: His moustache.
In fact, it was bothering him so much that after his first at-bat in a game he decided to go into the clubhouse and remove it. Fans noticed that something looked different in his next at-bat. It’s clear that you really can’t get away with anything in the social media era. It wasn’t even a full moustache, it was just sprouting and still everyone knew.
Beards are just disappearing across the MLB. Just last week, a much bigger piece of facial hair seemed to vanish from Bryce Harper’s face. No beard is safe.
