The Carolina Hurricanes are well on their way to making the post-season for the first time in ten years.

After a 2-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday night, the Canes' point total jumped up to 91, sitting three points ahead of the Habs for the first Wild Card Spot in the Eastern Conference.

Filling the win column in 2019 has become a regular occurrence for the Canes, sporting the third best record in the NHL (26-9-0-2) since the calendar flipped.

By now, everyone knows what happens when the 'Canes grab two points on home ice, and if you're still offended at this point, just look away, because after reeling in their latest victory, fans in attendance got to see their favourite hockey team fish.

Nothing like a little ice fishing, which we can thank Andrei Svechnikov for the exhibit, as the rookie winger notched his 20th goal of the season to seal the Hurricanes 2-1 overtime win.

The more the Hurricanes win, the more their fans go home happy and the more attention they grab in the hockey world. Profit.
