In just a single year, Kawhi Leonard has thrust himself into the Raptors pantheon, and even his Uncle Dennis has become a bit of a celebrity around Toronto.
Of course, Uncle Dennis is also one of Kawhi’s closest confidants, and figures to have a major influence on his nephew’s free agency decision. When a young Raptors fan spotted Uncle Dennis at the airport, he obviously had to ask about Kawhi.
Uncle Dennis wouldn’t budge!
Guess we’ll just have to wait until June 30th, then. After bringing a championship to Toronto in his first year here, you have to figure that Kawhi’s legacy would be intact even if he bolts, but of course, fans would love to have him back.
For now, everyone’s just basking in the post-championship glow. Even Uncle Dennis is getting in on the fan, joining the ‘five more years’ chant led by Kyle Lowry during the parade.
