Has anyone else felt reminiscent lately? Well, we have and we’re glad others have been too since one of the most hilarious athlete videos has resurfaced this past week and we’re honestly thankful for whoever thought of throwing it back into the universe.
In his rookie year with the Buffalo Bills, a now-retired Marshawn Lynch gave us the inside scoop on the Buffalo nightlight and even better, one of the best athlete videos in modern history.
Let us just kick this off by saying this takes place at an Applebee's and a Dave & Buster's somewhere in Buffalo.
Starting off with “Oh yeah, this spot hot!” as he high fives the hostesses, Lynch sits down at a table in a high packed Applebee's, telling us how he loves the ambience and decor of the family chain restaurant.
The fact there are latex balloons right behind him makes this video so much more of a treasure.
He then continues, explaining how he spends a lot of time trying to figure out which Applebee's he likes more, the ambience or the decor.
Honestly, it’s a toss-up for us, the balloons are really selling us here.
Lynch then goes behind the bar, you know the usual, and starts to dispense his own drink while having one hand in his pocket as if this is just a regular occurrence. Imagine going to an Applebee's with your family and just seeing a young Marshawn Lynch tending the bar?
The comedy doesn’t stop there as he claims to love the sound the soda gun makes as it pours drinks claiming it “has so much power”, before playing with the machine.
Did you think we were done just yet? Ha, not so fast, it gets even better.
Marshawn has to get some playtime in of course at the local Dave & Buster's!
While Marshawn is having the absolute time of his life, he claims he loves going to the arcade because it reminds him of former Heavyweight Champion Buster Douglas and Cincinnati Reds legend Dave Concepcion.
Though the best quote from the entire clip comes from what Marshawn spent most of his signing bonus on.
Skee-ball, because it’s good for the Buffalo economy.
A close second comes when he asks “Who’s Beethoven?!” to a young lady before playing Dance Dance Revolution.
If we can take anything away from this video, it’s that Marshawn has to be one of the most likable athletes of all time. The guy just radiates happiness and we’re honestly jealous we were not in Buffalo around 2007 and 2008.
