What a day.

When it seemed like the day’s biggest move was going to be Kevin Hayes to the Winnipeg Jets, a series of deals came pouring in with less than 20 minutes before the 3 PM Eastern deadline. Mark Stone elected to head to Las Vegas at 2:43, Wayne Simmonds was sent packin’ to Nashville at 2:57, and then a bunch of others leaked after the final horn.

Hockey fans managed to find an extra kick of energy after the action unfolded to express their thoughts on one of the wilder trade deadlines we’ve seen in recent years.

 

Well that all happened quickly!

Overall it was a very eventful day and it wasn’t just because of the players. If you were living under a rock today then let us introduce you to TSN’s newest mascot… Tradey. We’re not quite sure what this dude is but he seemed to be making all kinds of ruckus around the building.

 

And even the Prime Minister made an appearance. The Prime Minister people!
