Every pitcher has some sort of nuance in their windup. Whether it’s how they hold the ball in their glove, or how high they kick their leg, it’s rare that you’ll see pitchers with identical windups.

Over the years, there have been several that make us scratch our heads. Tim Lincecum threw his entire body into each and every pitch. Some pitchers have also used the bizarre submarine style like Darren O’Day. However, Giants’ pitcher Yapson Gomez may have just exhibited a windup that’s stranger than any other.

It’s not just a shimmy like Johnny Cueto used to do, it’s a full blown dance routine capped off with a pause while standing on one leg. Yapson Gomez gets style points here, but this windup definitely doesn’t help baseball speed up the game. Nothing wrong with adding personality to your throwing style, just make it last under 10 seconds.
