This past weekend, Vladimir Mineev and Aziz Dzhumaniyazov went toe-to-toe in the mixed martial arts regional championship in Dagestan. As one of the rounds came to an end, Dzhumaniyazov started to head back towards his corner, only he didn’t exactly go straight there.

Instead of just returning to his corner and settling their differences in the ring, Dzhumaniyazov decided to kick his opponent on his way back. As you can probably guess, Mineev was having none of it and fired right back with an even bigger blow.

It’s a little hard to spot the kick, but it happens around the :19 mark, and then another 30 seconds later around the :49 mark.

As soon as the Mineev fired back at Dzhumaniyazov, the fans decided they had seen enough and decided to storm the ring. According to bloodyelbow.com, the two fighters met after the scuffle and ended up shaking hands and made it clear that it was just emotions getting the best of them.

Perhaps the federation will think about making their next bout a cage match so none of the fans can interfere.

One thing’s for sure, Khabib Nurmagomedov was not kidding when he said that everyone from Dagestan loves a good scrap.
