Not many NHLers can claim to have a 5-goal game under their belt. In fact, the list stands at 46 currently, and only four times since the turn of the century.

Marian Gaborik potted five for the Minnesota Wild on December 20, 2007. Johan Franzen scored five for Detroit on February 2, 2011. Patrik Laine managed to net five for Winnipeg on November 24, 2018. And, most recently, Mika Zibanejad joined the club.

Zibanejad scored five of the New York Rangers’ six goals, including the overtime winner to defeat the Washington Capitals 6-5.

Following the game, Zibanejad was clearly still in shock when the media stuck a bunch of microphones in his face. With a humble smile on his face, the Rangers forward explained how speechless he was following the performance.

How can you not love this guy.
