If you attended the Rockford IceHogs and Milwaukee Admirals game on Saturday night you got to witness more than just a hockey game.

After a pretty mild-mannered opening period that featured just one goal and one minor penalty, the second period featured five goals and three more minor penalties. By the time the third period rolled around, it became quite the physical battle.

It was around the midway point of the third period when all the rough stuff happened, and it was the two goalies that provided more than half of it.

Matt Tomkins and Troy Grosenick went toe-to-toe at centre ice and the fans and players loved every second of it. Both players received 19 penalty minutes on the play (2 minutes for leaving the crease, 2 minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct, 5 minutes for fighting and a 10 minute game misconduct) and had to be replaced by their backups.

Milwaukee won the game 7-2 as the two teams combined for 64 penalty minutes.
