Black Panther has been a worldwide phenomenon, taking over pop culture references for just about every industry, especially sports.
We’ve already seen it enter into the dunk contest and now we’re seeing it on the hockey side. Designer and jersey concept enthusiast (He also made the Super Bowl designs we shared) decided to combine the movie with one his passions which is creating custom jersey concepts. The Wakanda Panthers are his latest conception and it looks like it should be an NHL team’s alternate jersey next year.
There are two teams we could see wearing this. First of all, obviously the Panthers could take advantage, because they’re the Panthers.
The other team is the Kings. They’re rocking the purple, black and silver colours and they’re in LA where all the Hollywood magic happens, so it could be a pretty great fit as well. Or, it could go for our Beer League team who could seriously use some super powers on some nights.
