There were a lot of pretty awful things that happened in 2020, but if we could pick one thing about the year that was overwhelmingly positive, it was the way that women’s professional sports finally got some of the respect that they deserved.

The WNBA bubble was a big part of that success, and the league saw some serious numbers during their COVID season.

The numbers don’t lie, people! If you show it to them, fans will watch women’s sports.

Now, the NWHL is looking to replicate the WNBA’s success with their upcoming bubble season in Lake Placid, and it looks like they’ll have the WNBA’s support in their quest.

The Connecticut Sun and New York Liberty have both arranged for cutouts of their teams in the stands when the action kicks off on January 21st, and we love this showing of women supporting women.

Ya love to see it!

We can’t wait for this tourney to kick off, and we’re definitely not along in that.
